Hi,

the hosts file looked like this:

# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1               localhost.localdomain localhost
::1             localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6

(You see: No entries for the hosts)

Second: You need a working DNS for completing the cluster verification. You can run your dns on your cluster nodes (i strongly recommend running dns on both nodes). If you want to i can send you the dns files needed.

Dear Friend its a very nice guide!
I have two questions :
i) How was your hosts looking like before grid installation
ii) I want to install rac in two vm's as a test environment.
    There is no dns available. Any Idea what do do with the scan name
    if there is no dns available ?

Thanks
